Hi,

I have some questions about the LG NAS!
After installing it and upgrading the firmware to version 2504 i'm abit confused about alot...
Anyone that knows if this is only with the new firmware or also available in the older ones?

- DLNA, adding the folder with your media files seems to be limited!
I can't add my shared "Media" folder with media files to this service?
Seems to be limited to be placed in the "/service/" or "/volume1_public/" shares!
(You can't add your own shares...)

- When adding (Uploading files) to shares, those seems to be hidden by other users even if they are in the same group of users that has been granted access to that share!
I did need to get into the GUI and re-apply the group on that share before files are shown to all the users! This is really bad, any one else that can confirm this?
(uploading files to a SAMBA share from diffrent user accounts....)

- Selectiv Mirror, as i understand this is very limited!
You can't mirror to or from network shares (SAMBA/FTP) or other servers!
You can't mirror to or from local eSATA or USB attached disks!
You can't mirror files between USB / eSATA disks!
This seems to be an meaningless function when you have internal disks in a mirrored (RAID1) config!

- Lack of support for external disks, eSATA / USB disks not available from the GUI you can't copy files to or from those disks using the "ajaExplorer".

- You are unable to set user and group access privileges on eSATA and USB attached disks you can't create any shares on those disks!

Any other things i have missed?
Right now i'm really disappointed with the LG NAS any one else that have some problems?
Is the earlier firmware better?

/J
